Cockatiels are small, crested, Australian parrots, known for their cheerful disposition and unique appearance. these birds can come in a variety of different colours however the most popular being "Lutino" (light yellow/ white colour) and "pearl" (A speckled or mottled pattern). They are relatively easy to care for, making them popular pet birds. While ideal in pairs, you can own a cockatiel on its own as long as you are able to commit a lot of time with them as Cockatiels need daily interaction, playtime, and training to thrive. These birds are relatively small, with an average length of 12-13 inches and can live roughly 15 - 25 years but sometimes more.
At Widmer feeds, when coming in for your Cockatiel, one of our staff will go through everything you need in order to house them and explain how to correctly care for one. this including their diet, handling, health .etc.
