The Commercial Brown is very a docile and friendly bird making them ideal for first time keepers due to their friendly yet confident temperament and easy going nature. This classic chicken can vary in appearance as it typically has a reddish-brown colour, but some may have white feathers mixed, making each of them unique. These chickens are known to be strong, reliable chicken which is known for its egg production.
Brown hens are capable of laying 300 - 320 eggs per year.
Health Status and Traceability
All our birds come from registered, vaccinated parent flocks which are regularly tested for salmonella stereotypes with public heath significance in accordance with regulation (EC) No. 2160/2003
As chicks they are double vaccinated for Mareks disease MKR+HVR, plus Nobilis IB Ma5 for protection against Infectious Bronchitis.
